Today we received a visit from Ethan’s mummy who is a GP and just in time for us to enhance our Doctors Role-Play area in the play-room. Ethan was her assistant and she taught us lots of things about our heart, our spinal cord, our brain and we got to use her stethoscope, banadge patients and use chambers to help us to breathe. Mrs.McGreer explained the job of our diaphram and what happens when we have a cough or even the hiccups! We even got to use her special instrument to check tonsils. The pupils asked lots of questions and were surprised to hear that Mrs. Mc Greer went to St. Colman’s, Annaclone when she was a little girl. Thank you so much Mrs. Mc Greer for your time, preparation and lovely books for us today as well as new resources to be used in play after Easter.
