P2 were excited to welcome Sean’s mummy, Anna to our classroom today to help us conclude our topic of “People Who Help Us.” We listened to her knowledge of what are teeth are used for, the difference between baby teeth and adult teeth and we couldn’t believe that our baby teeth were formed in our gums while we were growing in our mummy’s tummies! Anna showed us the correct way to brush our teeth, explained how our parents should be helping us do this for many years and why we sometimes get cavities. We asked her lots of interesting questions before we got to put on masks and gloves ourselves and check out her special light which magnified the teeth. Our next step was to then sort healthy and unhealthy foods to have happy and sad teeth and we were delighted to get our very own packs with so many useful items for home.
