The Human Body in P4
This week our P4s have been continuing to explore our Term 1b topic of The Human Body and what fun we have been having!
In WAU we have looked at our skeletons and found out lots of facts about it - one being that it is needed to keep us upright! We used cotton buds to make skeletons and talk about the names of some of those bones, for edge our femur. We investigated our organs, talked about what they looked like and learnt a little about their function.
In ABL this week we then worked in groups to draw around one of our group members and we had to see could we remember where our organs were in our body and to label them.
The second activity involved measuring with ribbon. The 3 questions posed to the groups were;
Is my height the same as my arm span?
How many times does my femur bone fit into my height? &
Is my head circumference more or less than my femur?There were lots of problems along the way but we worked as a team and figured them out! Great work P4!
