Soup for snack
19th Sep 2025
Last week the girls and boys were talking about vegetables and making soup in the home corner, so this week we made the real thing. We talked about what vegetables we could use and about prepping the vegetables, washing, peeling, chopping, cutting and slicing. We had potato, leek, carrot and green beans. We talked about colour, shape, texture and smells. The children loved this task. They put the chopped veg in the pots and added stock. The children then blended the soup, heated it up and it was served for snack.
