Probability in Primary Six
27th Jan 2026
Today Primary Six pupils had a really exciting lesson on probability. We started off our lesson with a Walk Around. Mrs McMahon called out different scenarios and the pupils had to choose impossible, unlikely, likely and certain. She even tried to trick them but they listened attentively to the statements. This was followed by group activities involving a deck of cards, coloured cubes, a die and skittles. The children had to predict the chances of things happening and work them out as fractions, decimals and percentages. The pupils for example said the odds of throwing an odd number on a die was an equal chance, 0.5, 50%, one half!
