St Colman's Primary and All Saints' Nursery, Annaclone

Primary 1 is a busy place to be!

21st Sep 2021

In our first few weeks of school we have never stopped moving, exploring or discovering! We have been busy playing in the classroom, outside and in the play-room, where our imaginations continue to grow. Breakfasts have been made using natural resources, “waffles with red sauce or sausage baps, served with orange juice that I have with my porridge!” Volcanoes came to mind using construction equipment, where “very hot lava spilled out in red balls” together with rollercoasters “just like the one in Tayto Park.” Outside in the small-world tyres, “concrete is needed in the hole so the new house doesn’t go low but it will only take six minutes to build!”
We have been committed to our daily task boxes and love to enjoy a new nursery rhyme and add actions to accompany it. We have moved around the classroom like a large, round Humpty before falling off his wall and collected a pail of water as Jack and Jill. No wonder we go home tired each day!
