Primary 1 have started Term 2 as they mean to go on. Lots of good listening, hard work and a give it a go attitude. Some of us have been enjoying buying and selling goods in our role-play area and in our maths tasks. We have been counting coins up to 10p, buying hot cross buns in Mrs. Gribben’s baker shop and even learning about heavy and light.
In literacy we have learnt 2 new sounds so far since we came back and have been giving CVC word building a try with all the sounds we know. We are all excited to be reading books and searching for all these new words in them.
This term our topic is all about Bears. Together we found out what we know already and are excited to learn lots more facts about real bears but also get to meet some popular fictional bears in some of our favourite stories also.
