P6 & P7 Trip to Dunluce Castle and The Giants Causeway
On Wednesday 24th of October P6/7 travelled up to the North Coast to visit the Giants Causeway and Dunluce Castle. The Giant's Causeway is not just a visitor attraction; it is a valuable educational facility that provides a wealth of learning experiences for pupils. Both P6/7's current topics of Northern Ireland and Water leant themselves well to the excursion and with all children in the school working hard to improve their writing levels. The memories, sights and contextualised learning from the trip will act as an inspirational stimulus for their writing.
Brilliant fun was had by all the children and staff who had to wrap up very well as they braved the ferocious elements of the North Atlantic! We have lots of excellent photos here from the trip and below there is a powerpoint that retells the legend of Finn MacCool.
