P2 use their “Powers for Good”

13th Nov 2025

It’s anti-bullying week and in P2 we discussed how we too have powers to do good and that it’s just not superheroes. We watched a short clip from the inspirational movie “Wonder” and the children were very quick to identify Julian ‘as mean and rude to Auggie’ and notice Jack who used his power to do good and stand up to those who hurt others. They particularly enjoyed how Jack encouraged Auggie to use his voice and how he had the confidence to answer Julian back by saying, “Maybe my mum could home school you too!”

Our next activity asked the pupils to imagine they were Jack, imagine they had the power to do good, support others and build a world where kindness wins. The scene was once again the science lab and our classroom assistants spoke the harsh words of Julian while the children each took on the role of Jack and offered words of encouragement in front of a green screen.

Children you were great! Continue to be kind, brave and to include others, all powers you have within.
