P2 head to the land of fairies and giants 🧌🧚🏻‍♀️

Today was our P1 and P2 end of year trip to Slieve Gullion Park and what an amazing day it was! We were so excited to go on the fairy trail that we gobbled our snack in minutes and headed off searching for signs and reading clues along the way. The climb was steep for little legs but we ran on ahead to explore the fairy kingdom and a firm favourite was the do-do fairy house where some thought they spied their old dummies! We saw hounds, various cottages, the evil witches face, the giant storybook as we tiptoed and were delighted to make music outside with instruments. As we began to descend we knew we were getting close to the giant’s footprints and Maria read the last clue aloud for us before we found them. Only when talking to P1 about their walk; we realised that we had missed the giants table and chair, knife and fork! Again our lunch was devoured and off to the park to play we went. We were complimented on our behaviour and enthusiasm by a passer-by and we proudly told the lady that we were from “St. Colman’s Annaclone!” Such an enjoyable way to end our year together and many memories created.
