We were delighted to welcome the NSPCC into school today to deliver their Speak Out, Stay Safe workshops to our P3, P6 and P7 classes, building on the NSPCC assemblies Mrs Farrelly led with the children earlier.
This programme is designed to give pupils the knowledge and confidence they need to stay safe from abuse and neglect and to know who / where they can go to for help if they need it. The children met Buddy, the NSPCC’s speech-bubble mascot, who helps reinforce the importance of speaking up. The pupils were really engaged, enjoyed the sessions and felt they got something important from them.
