Today we celebrate outdoor classroom day. We couldn’t have asked for nicer weather to take our literacy lesson outside. Today we were learning about rhyming words and completing some word building tasks. In groups the children set of on a rhyming word hunt. Some of us found it a little tricky at first but soon found 2 or 3 things that rhymed with the object that Mrs. Gribben gave them. When building the words we had to be quick, some letters we only had one of so we needed to find it before the other teams. Some excellent decoding today to read the words. Tomorrow we will swap tasks so we can all have a go.
