Learn, Dream and Achieve like The Highstool Prophets
As P2 got lost in their artwork this half term, transforming Vincent Van Gogh’s ‘The Bedroom’ the same song was played on repeat. The children wondered what it was and why it was played. They started to sing some words as they listened and knew the song was about home and belonging in a safe place just like the artist felt in his new yellow house. Mrs. Burns then explained how the members of The Highstool Prophets who sang the song “Home” were real life examples of our school vision to Learn, Dream and Achieve. They went to school and learned how to play music and sing, lay in bed and dreamt of singing and performing on stage and this became reality as they have performed to thousands of people in concerts everywhere. There was no better way to finish our class topic on Houses and Homes than to sing together the chorus of this special song..we hope you enjoy it!
