All part of one family but all different - PDMU in P4
We began P4 by reflecting who on we are and thinking about our special talents. We thought about the things that make us the same as the people in our class, our school and our family. We also discussed the things that make us different.
Our theme in P4 PDMU is 'All part of one family but all different’.
We talked about how we are all part of one family, God’s family, our school family and our family at home. We share the same surname as lots of people in our family but each one of us is different in some way. We are all unique and we used apples to demonstrate our theme. π π
We thought about apples being part of the wider fruit family. They look the same and grow in the same place but yet each one is different and unique in some way. The pupils in P4 had to choose an apple each. They had to take it to their seat and examine the apple to see what distinctive characteristics it might have and think about how they would identify their apple from the pack. They put them all back together and we mixed them up. They had to then find their own apple again and explain to us what unique aspect their apple had.
Well done boys and girls - great discussion!
