Today our nursery had a frosty, snowy and fun filled time learning all about Winter! We explored why we need warm clothes, when it’s chilly outside and talked about what happens when water freezes into ice and melts back again- lots of curious questions and giggles along the way!
To Make it extra special, we even had a go at some icy experiments, using pipettes and warm water to melt the ice we found around our outside area. When we came back inside we warmed up with a delicious bowl of porridge (just like Goldilocks!). After we finished gymnastics with Coach Mark, we snuggled up and enjoyed watching ‘The Snowman’, which helped us think more about different kinds of weather and how it changes the world around us.
We had a magical mix of science, stories, excitement, shivers and cozy moments- a perfect way to kick start the festive season!
