As part of our topic people who help us, Primary Two received a special visit from postman Stuart from the Banbridge sorting office. Stuart arrived to St Colman’s in his Royal Mail van which pupils were able to observe from the classroom due to the poor weather. The boys and girls had a question each to ask our visitor and he was blown away by the pupils’ enthusiasm and engagement today. Postman Stuart explained how he collects, sorts and delivers letters and parcels every day, and how he walks nearly 10 miles to ensure all the post is delivered! He showed us some of the equipment he uses, such as his PDA and brought some of his uniform into school to show the boys and girls, such as his bag, his hat and of course his waterproof trousers.. can’t forget those!
