The children had a wonderful time celebrating Pancake Tuesday in Nursery. They enjoyed seeing how pancakes were made and had the chance to try new foods and a variety of fresh fruit. Today also marked the beginning of the Chinese New Year, which sparked the interested amongst a number of children. We learned about some of the traditions celebrated at this time of year, red is their lucky colour and the 2026 is the Year of the Horse. The children were excited to find out that their birth years fall under the Year of the Ox and the Year of the Tiger. To finish off our celebrations, we sampled some delicious Chinese food at lunch time- a fantastic way to explore new tastes and cultures together.
